I believe passionately that all of the arts provide windows to our souls and psyches. Often, as we ‘grow up’, we leave those windows shut because our busy lives and busy brains get in the way. Write To Be You reflective writing circles are designed to open up new spaces within, allowing creative blocks to dissolve, while also exploring how a self-compassion practice can transform our creative lives.

I bring a wide range of experience to Write To Be You. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Screenwriting from Loyola Marymount University and began my career as a children’s bookseller.  I went on to publish a children’s picture book and continued my studies in London, gaining a Master of Arts in Integrative Arts Psychotherapy from The Institute for the Arts in Therapy and Education (IATE). I also fulfilled my dream of writing a novel and Playing Along was published in 2013!

I have worked therapeutically with adults and children in schools, universities and non-profit organizations, as well as running creative writing workshops in the UK. I have lived in both London and Los Angeles and have travelled extensively, intent on finding inspiration in far off destinations.

My mother always told me that ‘Girls Can Do Anything!’ a mantra that helped me to understand self-belief as the key to creative freedom.
